Welcome To Curriculum Night
Welcome to Aaron School’s Curriculum Night at the 45th Street Campus on Thursday, October 6th from 6:30-8:00!
This year the Parent Association will be sponsoring a pre-Curriculum Night gathering taking place in our Assembly Room from 5:30-6:30. This is a great community building opportunity for parents to join together and socialize before the main event begins. Curriculum Night will begin promptly at 6:30.
In preparation for Curriculum Night, it might be beneficial to understand the purpose of the evening. Parents will have an opportunity to meet their child’s teachers for this school year. Parents will sit in their child’s classroom to get a brief overview of the classroom schedule and logistics, the academic topics to be covered, the instructional programs used to facilitate learning and have a quick face to face with your child’s specific Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Counseling staff member. In addition, parents will go on a Specialty rotation tour having 10 minutes to learn about the fun and exciting things taking place in each of the following classes – PE, Art, Technology, Music, and for students in grades K-5, Library.
Please Note: Curriculum Night is meant to be led by the teachers and therapists to inform the whole group of the year plan. This is not the forum to discuss individual concerns that you may have about your child. Should anyone have a specific child related question for the teachers and therapists, please email the staff member directly after the event. Administration will be present and available to you as well.
A school directory will be available and we will ask you to take a few minutes to validate the information included. This information came from your recent database registration; however, we want to make sure to include any last minute changes. We will issue a comprehensive directory to families via backpack shortly thereafter. Additionally, from time to time we will reissue updated pages of the directory when changes are made.
